The Cruise: Detailed Description

🚢 Cruising the Gulf of Kissamos

The cruise begins with an impressive one-hour sail along the gulf.

• What you will see: Steep cliffs, hidden caves, and the mysterious "Tarsanas" cave—a suspected ancient shipyard.

• Geological Phenomenon: Observe the ancient shoreline on the rocks—a living trace of Western Crete’s geological elevation over the centuries.

Depending on the itinerary, the ship visits either Gramvousa or Balos first.

🏴‍☠️ Gramvousa: The Pirates' Island

A stop filled with history and mystery (Duration: ~2 hours).

• The Venetian Castle: Built in 1579 at an altitude of 137 meters. With centuries of history and legends of pirate treasures, it is a destination that captivates every visitor. The hike takes about 20 minutes (sturdy, comfortable shoes are essential).

• Panoramic View: The view from the castle walls is breathtaking and rewards every explorer.

• Beach & Shipwreck: Swim in crystal-clear waters next to the iconic shipwreck or by the chapel of Agioi Apostoloi. 💡Tip: If you visit us on June 29th, you can experience the traditional festival of Agioi Apostoloi held right on the island!

After a short 20-minute sail, we reach Balos, one of the most famous beaches in the world.
